ANNUAL AREA CLOSURE

Bow Valley Parkway (1A)

WHAT: Pursuant to Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:

WHERE: The area between Ranger Creek and the west end of the Hillsdale split including areas surrounding Hillsdale split. The road is not affected by this closure (see accompanying map).

WHY: Wildlife activity in this area cannot be disturbed by human presence

PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
