Operate Ryans Equipment Rental Centre

Parks Canada is seeking proposals from experienced operators to manage the Ryans Equipment Rental Centre, a popular visitor service offering canoe, kayak, paddle board, and bicycle rentals at the heart of Kouchibouguac National Park.

This unique five-year opportunity (May 2026–April 2031) offers high visibility, a strong visitor base, and the chance to support unforgettable outdoor experiences in one of Atlantic Canada’s most iconic coastal parks.

About the Opportunity

The Ryans Equipment Rental Centre welcomes thousands of visitors each year during the park’s operating season (mid-May to mid-October). Operators will provide rental services, maintain equipment, manage daily operations, and deliver excellent customer service that reflects Parks Canada's values.

The successful proponent will:

• Operate seasonal equipment rentals (canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, bicycles)
• Maintain a bilingual visitor-facing website for promotion and information
• Provide safe, high-quality equipment meeting Transport Canada standards
• Hire bilingual staff, with efforts to support diverse and inclusive hiring
• Offer exceptional customer service and safety briefings
